Anza-Borrego State Park. Or as I like to call it: Cactus Paradise!

It was mere coincidence that I learned abut this State Park in Southern California but when we made plans for our vacation I knew I wanted to go there. And so we did. After our New Year’s celebration in Santa Monica we went on a little roadtrip. After a short stop in Temecula and a delicious wine tasting at the Wilson Creek Winery (their flavoured champagnes are to die for!!) we spent a whole day at Anza-Borrego. We mostly walked on the State Park’s trails and our first hike took us pass lots of Cacti all the way to a hidden Palm Tree Oasis.

I have taken lots of pictures various types of Cacti but I have to say, n0 photo can really capture the atmosphere of the park. I love the mix of vast desert with the green cover – in some areas it looks surreal. For my vacation in California I have mostly packed comfortable clothes and I have been wearing sneakers mostly. For this day of hiking I put togehter a comfy outfit wearing jeans, a striped sweater and my Nike sneakers.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!  Have a wonderful Tuesday lovelies!
